A Filipino family recipe. Baked fresh every day.

A Filipino bakery cafe in Colorado Springs, from a family baking since 1979.

We bake Filipino bread here every morning, from recipes our family has been refining since 1979. Three generations, one grandmother who got the pandesal exactly right. We are the first bakery on Colorado’s Front Range to bake it fresh every day, here in Briargate, Colorado Springs. Come in — there is no hurry here.

Never had Filipino bread?

Start with the pandesal. Soft, a little sweet, warm from the oven, dusted with fine breadcrumbs. It is what everyone in the Philippines grew up eating with their morning coffee, and it is the easiest possible place to begin. If you want, we will walk you through our entire selection.

What people are saying?

Every review gets an answer from us.

Not from a service, not from a template. If you leave us a review — a good one or a hard one — we will read it and one of us will write you back. When something goes wrong we would rather hear it from you than read it later. You will always be one conversation away from the people whose name is on the door.

FAQ

How do I order for a group or an event?

Use the catering page — it has a form built for gatherings, and it gets you to the right answer faster. Give us a little lead time and we will bake for your occasion.

What is pandesal?

Pandesal is the everyday bread of the Philippines — a soft, slightly sweet roll dusted in fine breadcrumbs and baked to a pale gold. People eat it morning, afternoon, and night, usually with coffee. We bake ours every morning, and if you have never had Filipino bread it is the right place to start.

What is ube?

Ube is purple yam. It tastes earthy and creamy with something vanilla behind it, and it turns everything it touches a deep violet. It is one of the defining flavors of Filipino baking. It is in our ube ensaymada, our pan de ube, and our ube latte. If you have never tried it, tell us and we will give you a taste before you buy anything.

Are you the only Filipino bakery in Colorado Springs?

We are the only one baking Filipino bread here every day. You can find Filipino baked goods in a few other places around town — some of them made by local Filipino home bakers we know and think highly of — and we are glad that food is out there. What is different here is that we bake ours in-house, every morning, from our own family’s recipes.

Do you have gluten-free or vegan options?

Very few, and we would rather say so plainly. Traditional Filipino baking depends on wheat flour and dairy — that is where these flavors come from. Ask us before you order and we will tell you honestly what works and what does not. We would rather guide you well than have you drive out here and leave disappointed.

Is this a good place to bring kids?

Yes. We built it for everyone at the table — families, kids, couples, and people who just want a quiet half hour with a book. Watching a kid try pandesal for the first time is one of the best parts of the day.
